Enzayte: safe or not?

'Smiling Bob’ the enzyte commercial that has been watched by everyone in the last few weeks. This commercial presents a natural male enhancement pill that can give you the 'strongest, most powerful erections.' But have you thought about the ingredients and are they safe enough to use?

Enzyte ingredients are listed as: Tribulus terrestris, Niacin, Panax ginseng, Epimedium, Avena sativa, Zinc oxide, Lepidium meyenii, Muira puama, Gingko biloba and L-arginine. Saw palmettoand other miscellaneous ingredients such as gelatin, fiber, rice fiber, oat fiber, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, dicalcium phosphate, titanium dioxide and propylene glycol.

Enzyte used to contain a popular ingredient called Yohimbe (also known as Yohimbine) until 2004 especially in Canada, due to its after effects such as anxiety responses, speedy heart rate, elevated blood pressure and overstimulation raised a question on its legal use. Yohimbine also causes insomnia and sleeplessness.

Not only this ingredient but the others contain individual side effects:

1. Tribulus terrestris with no significant side effects However report of an upset stomach which can be counteracted by eating some food came in front.

2. Niacin Facial is the most reported side effects lasting for about 15 to 30 minutes. Dose of 1.5 to 6 g of niacin per day have many side effects that include dry skin facial flushing in a chain, skin rashes, indigestion, birth defects and high blood sugar and very high dose can lead to death.

3. Panax ginseng gives the inability to sleep. Other common after effects contain, diarrhea, euphoria, nausea, elevated blood pressure, small blood pressure, headaches and nosebleed.

4. Epimedium can cause overstimulation, Rapid heartbeat, and even heart palpitations at high level of dose.

5. Avena sativa Avena in which sativa is oat, so there no side effects.

6. Zinc oxide has no reported side effects.

7. Lepidium meyeniiLepidium meyenii, known as maca, recommended safe for humans.

8. Muira puama causes insomnia because it produces alertness.

9. Gingko biloba gives stomach pain, headache, and allergic skin reactions. While oddly, experiencing seizures have been reported by some old persons. Aspirin or Coumadin takers should avoid its use because this could cause internal bleeding.

10. L-arginineL-arginine is an important amino acid, and has no side effects.

11. Saw palmettoBeta-sitosterol is a primary active ingredient of Saw palmetto, and its chemical structure is similar to cholesterol. People having a history of heart attacks should avoid High levels of sitosterol as it links in blood to increased chances of heart disease in men.

It was an indication for the users to always give a detailed view of the ingredients before its use. Concludingly it herbal so it’s safe!
