The issue "should people make more of an effort to keep things private?" is argumentative. Most of the time, everything cannot be told.On the other hand, many people think keeping things private only repress those thoughts, eventually causing psychological disorders.
First,it is important to note that,no matter how modern the people may be,everything cannot be told.People may not be able share their experiences or feelings.Negative thoughts or feelings are usually criticized in the society. It is hard to exist in society expressing unacceptable thoughts even if a person may have one.A person may be hanged to death, for example,if he expresses that he wants to kill the president or some important personalities. So,expressing everything is not good and so the privacy is worth fighting for.
However, keeping unnecessary thoughts may cause a person to suffer from psychological disorder .Many modern psychologists have already proved that repressing feelings cause Multiple Personality disorder or can make a person psychotic.Sigmund Freud argued that hiding things within the person can cause obsessive compulsive disorder:where people start to do ridiculous activities repeatedly. These theories have proved that expressing self to other is much better than being private.
Therefore,it is clear that a fixed viewpoint cannot be developed easily. However, everyone has their own private issues which are hidden despite any belief or fear of any psychological disorder.Every nation ,everybody, friends, enemy all are expressing those things which are suitable in the situation.Family environment may be violent if son expresses he doesn't want to live with his father. So,privacy is an important thing which is necessary to maintain under any circumstances.
Nice argument.
